Jack Dangermond: Cultivating His Plants, and His Company

In case you haven’t seen it yet, there’s a great interview with Jack Dangermond, President of Esri Inc, on the New York Times website.

This is a really interesting read – I particularly like how the interview starts, with Jack reflecting back to his first job working in his parent’s plant nursery. Lessons he learnt when tending to plants have remained guiding principles for his management of Esri.

In your garden or in your company, he says, “you inherently have responsibilities to take care of things.”

Take a read.
