Live from the UC: Washington-Lee High School students own the Plenary

Washington-Lee High School students were an absolute highlight and really showed how far the once ‘professional’ Esri GIS technology and supporting data is becoming far more accessible and powerful. But even beyond that, Esri technology is allowing geographic thinking to systematically and critically analyse our world.

The quality of their work and the insight they revealed put my final year GIS thesis to shame.

To paraphrase Jack’s reference to a Victor Hugo quote – GIS is an idea whose time has come and today the students from Washington- Lee High School showed us just how far GIS has come.
